You heard right, Peterson Bicycle is going to put on a hill climb sprint series.

Details:

-Run on SE 76th St from Lake Washington Blvd NE to 116th ave SE in Renton/Newcastle. If you

don't know where this is, its the climb that goes straight up the hill beside Peterson Bicycle and

Public Storage.

-Start is in the shop parking lot, finish line is at the top.

-Tournament of 3-up heats (3 riders at a time), winner advances to next round.

-Losers get consolation rounds of 4-up heats to get minor placings.

-Everybody gets a 2 ride minimum.

-$5 entry of which a majority will be split amongst the top 3 finishers of each category.

-Dates/days to be determined. Minimum of 3 race series, maximum weekday series.

Spin Classes are coming to Peterson Bicycle Shop November 1st!

Ashamed that you can't get outside when it gets dark and cold? Do you look for motivation from friends but find they don't want to go outside either? Are you tired of the condescending and intimidating atmosphere inside fitness clubs? WE HAVE A SOLUTION!!! Join our spin classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15pm and find out what it feels like to work out and have fun at the same time! Bring your friends!

The details:

~$15/ per session or $130 for 10... sign up at the shop and pay prior to class.

~November 1st and beyond: every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15pm-7:15pm (sessions begin promptly at 5:45pm, so it is wise to arrive a bit before to get your things ready)

~We have 5 fluid trainers, so first come first serve on them. We are working to expand our fleet.

~Bring lots of water

~Bring your own towel(s)

The season is changing. The days are shorter, commutes are darker, and its bloody cold in the morning, and… it’s raining. Is it even possible to go outside? Actually, yes… it can be fun…! It’s like going back to school; changing out equipment, exchanging war stories with friends, installing a radical new fender system... motivation is possibly at a new height! Okay, so the 2011 racing season is over. Some guy that no one’s heard of just won Lombardia. That was a BUZZ kill. But it doesn’t have to be like that for you! The beginning of the off-season is the best time to sign up for a coaching program and get your 2012 preparation under way. (Don’t tell anyone), but we’re going to start offering the best and most informed coaching and physiological testing on the eastside! Our hours have changed slightly to better serve you. Specifically Monday through Friday we are open an hour earlier, at 10am. On Friday and Saturday we are closed one hour earlier, at 7pm. On Sunday we are open an hour later, until 5pm. As always, if you come by outside of our hours and there is someone in the store we will gladly let you in!
